The present book is particularly designed for undergraduate students and offers detailed discussion of the theoretical and practical aspects of laboratory experimentations. The stress has been on making concepts crystal clear using simple languages and labeled Diagrams. Many modifications have been done in the subject matter on the basis of observation of my own during the long year of my laboratory experiences and keeping in mind difficulties faced by the students. The subject matter has been organized into four parts - Inorganic preparations, Physical chemistry experiments, Organic preparations and Column chromatography. In inorganic preparations and organic preparations, chemical reactions, procedures, theoretical yields and precautions are given. The physical experiments have been explained theoretically with the help of graphs and figures. The experimental technique of column chromatography has been discussed in details. A number of experiments have been given on column chromatography.
