Felicenne H. Ramey is Professor and Dean Emerita of the College of Business Administration (CBA) at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). She served in the CBA as Dean, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, and Chair of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Environment. Additionally, she served as Special Assistant to the President of CSUS--providing advise on educational legal matters. During the 1992-93 academic year, she was an American Council on Education Fellow (ACE) at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) and served briefly as an Assistant Chancellor there. For two years she was the Executive Officer in the office of the Chancellor/Provost at the University of California, Davis. Professor Ramey published in the areas of consumer bankruptcy, minority affairs, business law, affirmative action, biological sciences, women in management, women administrators in higher education, and international issues in business. She received many awards including the Women Who Mean Business Award from the Sacramento Business Journal, the Distinguished Faculty Award and Order of the Hornet Award from the CSUS Alumni Association, and the Excellence in Education Award from the California National Organization for Women and an American Leadership Fellow to list a few. She served on 15 corporate and non-profit boards of directors in the areas of business, education, Sutter Health, Sacramento Sierra Region (2003-2009), art and an architectural review board. She continues to do volunteer work for a variety of non-profits. She has curated/co-curated 15 Art exhibits one on her photographs of Senior African-Americans, Library Gallery, California State University, Sacramento and the State Fair of California. She also curated "Civil Rights Civil Wrongs" exhibit at the University of Texas, Austin and Sacramento State University. She has a passion for the arts and strongly supports the arts. Professor Ramey received a Bachelor's degree in Bacteriology from the Pennsylvania State University, a Masters Degree in Biology from Duquesne University, a Masters Degree in Economics from CSUS, and a Juris Doctorate degree from The University of California, Davis. She was married to the late Dr. Melvin R. Ramey, Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Davis. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.
