This exposition deals with Remba taboos and rituals. The study has made use of the Phenomenological method to interpret data based on field research which has opened up new avenues to the understanding of the Remba history and traditions. The study has concluded that the Sadiki-Remba are indeed of a tradition of abstinence and ritual identity, of which the taboos and rituals are but the visible outward expressions of a fertile religion. Autorenporträt
was born and bred among the Remba of Mposi in Mberengwa. He did his BA, BA (HONS), MA and DPhil in Religious Studies with the UZ and then the Post Graduate Diploma in Education with ZOU.He worked for 19 years with the Education Ministry and is currently lecturing in the Department of Religious Studies at the Great Zimbabwe University.
