Autorenporträt
Nicholas J. White is a lecturer in economic and social history at Liverpool John Moores University. His doctorate was on the subject of decolonization in Malaysia. He is the author of Business, Government, and the End of Empire: Malaya 1942–1957 (Oxford University Press). J.M. Barwise has an M.A. in modern history from the University of Manchester and teaches at Liverpool Community College. Her research interests are in the international history of Southeast Asia. The authors have traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and make frequent visits to the region.
