Even as a child, JEANNE MAREE IACONO, was fascinated with the stars and the moon, and astronomy was her hobby. She has an extensive writing background and has been contributing author of over a hundred scientific biographies for Van Nostrand's Encyclopedia 9th and 10th editions. As a writing specialist for local city agencies she has helped organize and promote farmer market, water conservation, and Earth Day activities for community events and school programs. Iacono also enjoys the natural beauty of the Earth. She has won awards for mixing the arts with her photography and poetry and capturing the power and beauty of country creeks and hidden natural landscapes of unique character.
