Moreover,an exponential shoot number increment & very short(2-6weeks)shoot proliferation cycle can be continued irrespective of the season. But conventionally, no uniform & no virus free 5-10 suckers can be obtained per plant annually. As regards yield performance,tissue cultured plants have been reported to produce 39%higher yield than sword suckers. Finally, virus eradication by meristem culture is a useful tactic that could be used as an effective tool for many experiments for commercial exploitation of virus free banana plant production in different level in future.
