Autorenporträt
Charles R. Attwood, M.D., F.A.A.P., (deceased) was a board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He practiced medicine for thirty-five years--first in San Francisco, and then in Crowley, Louisiana. He is the author of Dr. Attwood's Low-Fat Prescription For Kids (Viking-Penguin, 1995) and wrote hundreds of newspaper articles on the health effects of nutrition and fitness. Dr. Attwood co-authored a regular column with Dr. Benjamin Spock in the nationally respected publication, New Century Nutrition, and worked as a consultant with Dr. Spock to revise the nutrition sections of the classic, Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care. He was selected as a faculty member of the American Academy of Nutrition and a guest lecturer at Cornell University. In June of 1996, he was appointed to the Board of Advisers of EarthSave International. He was the winner of the 1997 Telly Award for non-broadcast videos, as guest host of the award-winning video "Mooove Over Milk." The Telly Award represents the video counterpart of the renowned Emmy Award for broadcast TV productions
