Autorenporträt
Yvonne studied voice at Dublin's College of Music, Dublin, Ireland, and later continued studies in London, on a grant from Guinness Mahon Bank. For six seasons, she was leading soprano for Jury's Irish Cabaret, Ireland and took part in three major coast-to-coast tours of the USA and Canada with Columbia Artists. She also sang at Westbury Fair. She appeared at Dublin's Gaiety and Olympia Theaters, had many appearances with the Irish radio orchestra and concert orchestra, broadcast Riders to The Sea for BBC and PBS, and performed with Irish Operatic Repertory Company of Cork, with Scottish Opera, Dublin Grand Opera and at the Wexford Opera Festival. She met her husband, Richard Crist, at the Wexford Opera, and later moved to New York City. Shortly after the birth of their son Patrick, she was to fulfill a childhood dream, playing Eliza in My Fair Lady in Europe. Not only did she have the opportunity to co-star with British TV star, Tony Anholt and international film and theater star Maximilian Schell, but did so in Munich, Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag and Antwerp, to unanimous praise from the European press. Yvonne now has a second son Daniel and lives in Athens, Ohio with her family. Writing has always been a passion and continues to bring her satisfaction every day.
