Classical myths serve many purposes.First,they appear real to life. Life is both a fact and fiction. It may be also noted that the classical civilization has remained still one of the driving forces behind many other civilizations, the western civilization in particular, primarily because of its mastery over myth creation and the potential of the myths to get circulated and regenerated over the generations.
