But the moment the lion stretches its forelegs to devour him, terrific lightning and thunder strike repeatedly and frighten it, so it runs away from him. But at the same time, the lightning and thunder wake up a chimpanzee which is asleep on the top of the tree. Sensing danger, the chimpanzee climbs down the tree for safety and when it sees Nimo, it goes to destroy the thread which has been used to tie him without harming him to set him free.

Isaac Nkrumah Darko is a Ghanaian and a teacher by profession, but has entered into a full-time writing. His publications include academic books and Christian novels and short stories. As a Christian writer, his novels and stories highlight the importance of the word of God as well as Christian salvation in the life of man. Isaac Nkrumah Darko is a voracious reader. To this he says, "I find reading exhilarating; it is a relief from boredom and an antidote for emotional stresses."
