Denn der psychopathische Entführer hat eine weitere Leiche auf Helgoland mit Hinweisen präpariert. Herzfeld hat jedoch keine Chance, an die Informationen zu kommen. Die Hochseeinsel ist durch einen Orkan vom Festland abgeschnitten, die Bevölkerung bereits evakuiert. Unter den wenigen Menschen, die geblieben sind, ist die Comiczeichnerin Linda, die den Toten am Strand gefunden hat. Verzweifelt versucht Herzfeld sie zu überreden, die Obduktion nach seinen telefonischen Anweisungen durchzuführen. Doch Linda hat noch nie ein Skalpell berührt. Geschweige denn einen Menschen seziert ...
Sebastian Fitzek hat es (zusammen mit Michael Tsokos) wieder einmal geschafft einen Thriller zu schreiben, der diese Bezeichnung mehr als verdient hat. Man hat durchgehend ein beklemmendes Gefühl und meint ständig über die Schulter blicken zu müssen. Stellenweise ist es sehr brutal und die Beschreibungen der Leichen und deren Verletzungen sind sehr detailliert. (wahrscheinlich nichts für schwache Nerven). Das Geschehen wird aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln geschildert, die am Ende zusammenlaufen. Es ist durchweg spannend, wobei sich die Spannung bis zum Ende kontinuierlich steigert. Dennoch gibt es auch sehr amüsante Episoden. Ich habe mich bestens unterhalten gefühlt.
