Deirdre Duffy is Senior Lecturer in Sociology (Global Social Inequalities), Lancaster University, UK. She is the author of Evaluation and Governing in the 21st Century: Disciplinary Measures, Transformative Possibilities, (2017), and has written for The Conversation, The Irish Times and The Guardian.
