Keila E. Zapata-Kelly was inspired to write this book by her father who often shared his childhood stories to demonstrate the value of family and to dream big. She is grateful for the sacrifice her parents made as immigrants from Nicaragua. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from NYU in 2006 and continues to serve the community. She is a wife and mother of two amazing children who inspire her each day to see the world with eyes of compassion for those in need.
