He has held this position for over 18 years. He is a graduate of Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. He also has a Master of Divinity Degree from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, Indiana. Under Pastor Mike's dynamic leadership, Progressive Baptist church has experienced tremendous spiritual and numerical growth. Pastor Jones is also very involved in the Indianapolis community. His involvement has included but is not limited to serving as a team chaplain for the Indiana Pacers NBA Basketball Franchise; Adjunct Professor of Homiletics at Christian Theological Seminary; Co-Chair of the Race Relations Leadership Network; Board Member of National City Community Development Corporation; and much more. He is also a sought after preacher and lecturer around the United States and beyond.
