Deans of Academic Affairs and other Academic Middle Managers (AMMs) in the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) have demanding jobs each day. What are some of the factors that influence these AMMs to perform their jobs on a daily basis? This mixed- methods study investigates to what extent AMMs in the 26-college Technical College System of Georgia report that CAMEO factors (climate, ability, motivation, environment, and opportunity to perform) influence performance of administrative duties. This work should interest AMMs such as deans and in some small colleges department chairs, as well as their direct supervisors, executive higher education administrators in the area of academic affairs.
