The study therefore recommends the following that the government, the responsible authority, the municipality/council, DAACC assist such children in school stationery and equipment to reduce the impact of the absence of biological parents.

Racheal Mafumbate is a lecturer at the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU). She is a PhD Candidate at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. She holds a Master¿s degree, a BSc Counseling degree and Bachelor of Education degrees. She co-authored seven modules for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Counseling for ZOU programmes.
