Jayne Abonyo ist Informationsspezialistin und leitende Dokumentarin im Fachbereich Architektur und Bauwesen der Universität von Nairobi, Kenia. Sie studierte Bibliothekswissenschaft in St. Petersburg in der UdSSR, wo sie einen Master-Abschluss erwarb. Mass Comm von der Universität Nairobi und einen Doktortitel in Informatik von der Moi Universität, Kenia.
