He has attended 37 conferences both local and international. He had served as Resource Persons in many organizations.He has participated in a number of grant winning researches. He had served Akwa Ibom State Government as Commissioner for Education among other things.

El profesor Antiabong Okon Ekong es catedrático de Educación Agrícola en la Universidad de Uyo, Departamento de Educación Profesional. Es el actual decano de la Facultad de Educación. También es el Presidente del Consejo de la Facultad de Educación. Tiene más de 73 publicaciones en revistas locales e internacionales. Es miembro de muchos organismos profesionales.
