Access to modern health facility, its quality and catastrophic out-of-pocket expenditure in healthcare delivery is posing serious concern to the health system in Nigeria. The study garnered primary data through multistage methodology on key variables of modern health facility, out-of-pocket expenditure and quality health services. It utilized both descriptive and logistic analysis in result presentation, interpretation, analysis and testing of the hypotheses. The thesis adopted and modified three models which guided the discourse; Access to Modern Health Model, Health Status Model and Out-of-pocket Expenditure Model. The study Borrowed from Andersen and Aday determinants of health utilization, Grossman's seminal model of demand for health and Sartori and Heckman model of catastrophic health care expenditure.
