Introduction: The older adult undergoes physiological changes propitiating accidents at home that cause complications.Objective: To determine the efficacy of an educational program to prevent accidents at home in older adults. Methods: A pre-experimental, prospective intervention study was carried out in the CMF15, belonging to the José Ramón León Acosta polyclinic, Santa Clara municipality, from June 2022 to March 2024. With a population of 215 older adults, selected with a non-probabilistic intentional sampling, the sample consisted of 52 older adults who met the inclusion criteria. An educational program structured in two stages was designed and applied.
