Climate change is gaining in importance in society, in addition to Cameroon's varied climate with four climatic zones: the Soudano-Sahelian, the dorsal or highlands, the coastal and the southern plateau. Acclimatization becomes imperative for managers at all levels, in their quest to maximize victories, as its absence exposes athletes to health problems during sporting competitions. The book is aimed at all those involved in sport: athletes, coaches, sports managers, students, teachers of Physical and Sports Science and Technology courses, and sports event organizers, who need to choose a favorable weather period for their sporting competitions. The authors hope that managers in general, and those in Cameroon in particular, will integrate acclimatization strategies into the pre-competitive and competitive phases in their quest for sporting performance, with a view to significantly improving athletes' sporting results.
