This book is the result of research conducted with family farmers from the Cooperativa Agropecuária Familiar de Canudos, Uauá e Curaçá -COOPERCUC- located in the semi-arid region of the State of Bahia. It was financed by the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). The aim of the research was to learn about the control strategies and how these influence the production planning carried out by the family farmers of COOPERCUC. In addition to emphasizing the participation of gender and the benefits derived from public policy programs in the formation of family income. This research was based on Agroecology, with its scientific focus on multidisciplinarity and the knowledge and experiences of the farmers themselves. This research has shown that it is possible to promote an educational process considering cultural, social and environmental knowledge in the economic discussion of the group, awakening the importance of expenditure control and how these results can boost family production.
