This book inference would not only edify potentials and professionals on the importance of acoustics as a major factor in building design, but also address the common solutions to mitigate noise in multipurpose spaces. Multipurpose hall is expected to be used for various activities such as music functions, sports, and speeches. This book recapitulates the acoustic design of early and recent performing halls and multipurpose halls. It also presents the fundamentals of sound and room acoustics, including the behaviour of sound in enclosed spaces. Suggestions and recommendations to this effect is given in this book to guide any institution or architectural design students who may wish to design the acoustics for indoor sports facility halls or multipurpose halls in the future.
Autorenporträt
Timothy O. Iyendo received his masters degree in the field of Architectural Acoustic (Multipurpose Hall) from Eastern Mediterranean University in August 2011. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. at the aforementioned University. His research interests besides acoustics, reflects visual stimulation of nature through art and daylighting in hospitals.
