In addition this study is a useful tool that presents a thorough description of language development (Arabic L2), and helps teachers and researchers to develop effective teaching materials and syllabus.

Dr Al Shatter is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Arabic Studies at the Australian National University. He has worked on the development of Arabic curriculum and teaching. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Deakin University. His main areas of research include second language acquisition and development, and curricula and teaching.
