Though born in South Africa and raised in East Anglia, Phyllida Taylor has lived all her adult life in rural Ireland. She is a mother of seven, and a grandmother of thirteen. Mediation is her profession, writing her passion. She holds a BSc (1st Class Hons.), an MA and a Distinction in Creative Writing from Maynooth University. Her skills and talents range from entrepreneurship, equitation and riding instructor, youth leader and community activist to being the only person she knows who finds four-leafed clovers.
