Mike Barry is the writer, artist and singular creative force behind Action Tank, his graphic novel series for kids about intergalactic adventure and spaghetti carbonara. In his home country of Australia, Mike's work has been shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, The Russell Prize for Humour Writing for Young People, and the Aurealis Awards. In 2021, Action Tank won a Comic Arts Award of Australia, and in 2022 was named in the American Library Association’s best graphic novels for children reading list. Mike lives with his wife and sons near the beach in Sydney, Australia, which is even better than it sounds.
