The research addresses a highly topical issue, the preparation of elementary school teachers in the prevention of behavioral disorders, in which the theoretical systematization of contents to be mastered is achieved, as well as the background and current conceptions of prevention, with emphasis on behavioral disorders. From the diagnosis carried out, it was found that there are difficulties in their efforts to provide better attention to schoolchildren, the preparation needs that are evident in the educational practice, mainly aimed at theoretical knowledge and modes of action necessary to carry out the timely prevention of behavioral disorders and achieve objective intervention strategies. In order to meet these needs, preparation actions are proposed for teachers, addressing essential topics that cover essential contents, with a flexible, integral and participative character. With its application, it was possible to raise the initial preparation level of teachers by providing them with theoretical knowledge and ways to better carry out prevention.
