Much has been discussed about the behavior of acute physiological responses in resistance exercise (RE). Against this backdrop, this study was carried out with the aim of providing information on the behavior of these variables (heart rate, blood pressure, double product and subjective perception of effort) during resistance exercise in young university students. Due to the seriousness of the data collection process, I am happy to present these results, which have been duly assessed and treated. Knowing that this work will not answer all the questions relating to the variables investigated, I would stress the importance of further research using different methodologies and instruments, with the aim of finding answers to these variables and thereby taking a small step towards building knowledge.

She has a degree in Physical Education from the Instituto Católico de Minas Gerais (1997) and a degree in Physiotherapy from the Universidade do Grande ABC (2001). Specialist in exercise physiology at the Veiga de Almeida University (UVA, 2005), Master's degree at the Trás-os Montes e Alto Douro University (UTAD, 2008) and PhD student in Physical Education at the UFJF/U.
