Igor Klepikov nació y estudió en la URSS. Cirujano infantil de la más alta calificación, doctor en ciencias médicas, profesor. Después de emigrar de Rusia, continuó trabajando como especialista en cirugía pediátrica. Actualmente jubilado, vive con su familia en los Estados Unidos.
