The present work was developed in the Faculty of Medicine and Chemistry laboratories of the National University of San Agustín de Arequipa with the purpose of demonstrating the benefits and ontological limits of Thyme in its essential oil form which is an aromatizer and has greater bacteriostatic and bactericidal potential than thyme essential oil, which is also one of the oils with the greatest antioxidant activity due to its high content of phenolic compounds. Toxicity was proved in Artemias Salinas and its cytotoxic effect in polymorphonuclear neutrophils.
