Adam S. Ferziger (born November 10, 1964, in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn) is a Jewish historian and author. Adam S. Ferziger (born November 10, 1964, in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn) is a Jewish historian and author. He earned his doctorate from Israel's Bar-Ilan University, where he is a lecturer and associate director of the Graduate Program in Contemporary Jewry. He serves as the Gwendolyn and Joseph Straus Fellow in Jewish Studies and is a senior research fellow at Bar Ilan's Rappaport Center for Assimilation Research[1]. Previously, he was the founding director of the university's preparatory program for new immigrants to Israel and served as a community rabbi for10 years at the Beit Binyamin Synagogue in Kfar Sava, Israel.
