There are increasing evidences in scientific literature that the climate is changing over the globe. The global temperature has increased by an average of 0.74°C in between 1906 and 2005. The average temperature of the global ocean has increased to depths of at least 3000 m since 1961. Global average sea level has risen at an average rate of 1.8 mm per year over 1961 to 2003, and 3.1 mm per year over 1993 to 2003. It has been projected that the average global temperature will increase in between 1.8 to 4°C by 2100 and the sea level will rise from 0.18 - 0.38 to 0.26 - 0.59 mm at the end (2090 -2099) of the 21st century (IPCC, 2007). Its vulnerability and impact are common in all countries especially for developing countries. Among the countries, Bangladesh is highest. Adaptation and mitigation are needed to overcome the adverse impact of climate change.
