This book examines the effects of urban re-development projects on displaced households in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It presents the coping and adaptive strategies practiced by the displacees in order to cope up with the problems related to urban re-development projects. It looks into the socio-economic effects of the project on the displacees and assesses the resettlement processes and the challenges the displacees faced. In doing so, the book pinpoints policy recommendations so as to minimize the potential risks in the prospective re-development projects the country.
