Follow E.H., Buffalo's reigning drug lord, as he negotiates the mean city streets with the meticulous precision of a four star general. Earl's drug tentacles have spread far and wide. Those who side with him long for his blessing and favor and those who oppose him fear and respect his grind. A tale where life, drugs and the game are meant to be sold, not told. When E.H. and his ace partners, Jermaine and Carey, run into a maze of intricately set traps and set-ups, they combine for an extraordinary duel of wits and street smarts that leave their adversaries baffled and confused. Using one of the world's oldest primers for warfare, The Art of War, written by the warrior and ancient Chinese monk philosopher, Sun Tzu, E.H. arms his crew for the battle with jewels of wisdom. "Know your enemy, but know yourself better. Know your own weaknesses, but shore them up with creativity...Capitalize on your strengths. Never match your adversary strength for strength, but I, instead, outsmart them with guerilla tactics," and lastly, "Never stop your enemy when he's making a tactical mistake. Allow him to catch himself up in his own web of incompetence." E.H. has had a long run in the drug game and his wing span has become too wide and far reaching. Buffalo Police are left with a number of unsolved murders, which they would love to hang on Earl be it right or wrong. Corrupt police officers will stop at nothing to bring down Buffalo's most infamous drug lord, once and for all. Unscrupulous tactics are leveled at E.H. by way of lying witnesses and snitches, trying to get their time reduced at his expense. Ride with E.H. as he finagles the system, the game, and the people to survive a mean game. Written in a graphic, compelling way, Addicted to the Game is a page turner from beginning to end....
Autorenporträt
The author, Earl Howard, hails from Buffalo, New York. He took to the street life at a very early age. The first time he was in Canada, at the age of ten, he thought he was in Hustler heaven. He stayed in Canada a year where the street life took him on a journey he never saw coming. Since his father had moved to LA when he was young, Howard, while in his twenties, moved to be with him. By then, Howard had habituated to a life of crime. He felt he was only good for one thing--the streets. After serving a year in prison in Los Angeles for conning, eleven years later, he moved to Buffalo. While in Buffalo, Howard sold heroin and cocaine, until he was set up by the Feds and associates he looked at as his brothers. Sentenced to a hundred and thirty months, Howard served nine years. While incarcerated, Howard took up Creative Writing, and learned how to write movies and novels. Corruption in the Queen City is the first of a series of street novels. Since his release, Howard has started his own publishing company, E & S Publishing Company. He can be reached at earl.howard@eandspublishing.com. (http://www.eandspublishing.com).
