The book focused majorly on the classification of hypoglycemia as it relates to diabetes in diverse ways/angle. Chapter 1 gave a general overview of the distribution of diabetes worldwide followed by an anatomical and physiological review that serves as background knowledge. It describes what the classification is about with some historical facts. I further discussed the focus on the hypoglycemia classification in diabetes as viewed from the angle of type 1 Diabetes mellitus (DM), type 2 DM, drugs used to treat DM, gestational diabetes complicated by hypoglycemia, endocrine disruptors causing hypoglycemia and how it relates to diabetes, bariatric surgery, sports medicine and how it affects people living with diabetes, and from the angle of technological advancement in medical practice as it relates to diabetes-telehealth, telemedicine. It gives a balanced understanding to the reader on the usefulness of Ademolus Classification of Hypoglycemia in our contemporary time. The targeted multidisciplinary audience includes medical students, medical postgraduate students, diabetologist, endocrinologist, paramedics, nurses and their instructors, pharmacist and the general public.
