Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and related health conditions are and will continue to be a major cause of ill health in Australia and overseas. The PhD project on adherence among patients with COPD adopts a triangulation approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate adherence to various disease management programs. As part of this study various research tools such as Medication Regimen Complexity Index (MRCI), Medication-based Risk Assessment Tool (M- RAT), Beliefs & Behaviour Questionnaire (BBQ) and Tool for Adherence Behaviour Screening (TABS) have been developed and validated.
