This book deals with the adjustment experiences of Bangladeshi immigrants in the Netherlands based on a qualitative research. Adjustment experiences are described in terms of three broad categories, such as, psychological, socio-cultural, and economic. Factors which facilitate or hinder adjustment of immigrants in the host society is also discussed here in terms of the perceptions of the immigrants. Kazi Farid (MSc in Population Studies, University of Groningen, The Netherlands) has been working as a faculty in the Dept. of Rural Sociology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh since December 2006. 'Population & development', more specifically 'migration & development' is his main research interest.
