Dr. Clovis Yussef Karam ist ein Franco-Amerikaner, der aus der Umgebung der berühmten phönizischen Stadt Sidon stammt. Seine Verbundenheit mit der phönizischen Mythologie reicht bis in seine Kindheit zurück. Derzeit ist Clovis Karam Professor für Mythologie, Philosophie und Arabische Sprache und Kulturen der Levante an der Universität von Sacramento in Kalifornien.
