This book incorporates topics such as theories of behavioral change, profitability, nutrition, research results such as adoption of crossbred cows, its relative profit and impact on child nutrition which are basic and useful while learning them. Low adoption of innovation is the main challenge that results in low income and poor nutrition at household level in Ethiopia. The content matter contained in this text is developed to provide the researchers, master students adequate theory of behavioral change, strength and weakness of each alternative model. Based on the weakness of all alternative behavioral change models, it is suggested new hybridized model that makes them to have an insight into new ideas. Formal education, distance from main weather road and participation in extension programs were found to be determinants of adoption of crossbred cows. Adoption of crossbred cows increases income of households; also it has an impact on pre-school child nutrition and expenditure. The topic covered in this book can be used as a reference material for subject of adoption, behavioral change, the impact of technology on income, nutrition and expenditure.
