This has been identified as a tool to fight the evils of modern society, namely malnutrition and unemployment. There are wide variations in the production and consumption pattern of poultry in various regions. It is often suggested that Poultry farmers should strive for higher adoption of scientific practices to improve production efficiencies. Alive to the problems of farmers, state run departments are organising technology transfer and support programmes. Yet, there exists gap between knowledge about technology available and its adoption. This study analyses the knowledge and adoption of scientific poultry management practices by broiler farmers of South Gujarat, India.
