-MoO3 nanobelts and PEO surfactant MoO3 nanobelts were synthesized using simple hydrothermal method. The PEO surfactant MoO3 nanobelts have high specific capacity at the nineth cycle (64.2%) compared to pure MoO3 nanobelts (58.9%). The 12.5 wt% PEO surfactant MoO3 nanobelts show better stabilized specific capacity (218 mAhg-1) at the 25th cycle which is more than the pure MoO3 nanobelts (198 mAhg-1). -MoO3 nanobelts and PVP surfactant MoO3 nanobelts have been synthesized. The PVP surfactant MoO3 nanobelts has an initial specific capacity of 300 mAh/g, and its stabilized capacity still remained as high as 169 mAh/g after 50 cycles. The V2O5 nanotubes electrode battery shows initial specific capacity 192 mAhg-1, whereas the PEG surfactant V2O5 nanotubes exhibite 204 mAhg-1 with constant current density of 20 mAg-1 at 2.0-4.0 V versus Li/Li+ potential range. Single crystalline flowerlike -MoO3 NRs synthesised through a solvothermal method and tested NRs as anode material for a rechargeable LIB. The flowerlike -MoO3 NRs display high capacity of 1182 mAh g-1at a constant current density of 30 mA g-1. The capacity is still up to 695 mAh g-1after 189 cycles.
