Omari V. Mukbaniani, DSc, is Professor and Director of the Macromolecular Chemistry, Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi, Georgia. He is also Director of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and Polymeric Materials. For several years he was a member of the advisory board of the Journal Proceedings of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Chemical Series), contributing editor of Polymer News and the Polymers Research Journal. His research interests include polymer chemistry, polymeric materials, and the chemistry of organosilicon compounds. He is an author of more than 480 publications, 27 books and monographs, and 10 inventions. In 2007 he created the International Caucasian Symposium on Polymers and Advanced Materials, which takes place every two years in Georgia. Tamara Tatrishvili, PhD, is Senior Specialist at the Office of Academic Process Management (Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences) at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University as well as head of the Department of Polymer Synthesis of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and Polymeric Materials at TSU, Tbilisi, Georgia. Marc J. M. Abadie, DSc, is Emeritus Professor at the University Montpellier, France. He was head of the Laboratory of Polymer Science and Advanced Organic Materials¿LEMP/MAO. He is currently a "Michael Fam¿¿ Visiting Professor at the School of Materials Sciences and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His present activity concerns high-performance polymers for PEMFCs, composites and nanocomposites, UV/EB coatings, and biomaterials. He has published 11 books and holds 11 patents. He has advised nearly 150 MS and PhD students with whom he has published over 400 papers. He has more than 40 years of experience in polymer science with ten years in industry (IBM, USA, Ministry of Defence, UK, and SNPA/Total, France). He created the International Symposium on Polyimides & High Temperature Polymers, a.k.a. STEPI, which takes place every three years in Montpellier, France.
