Coupling with XRD SEM and TEM, EBSD technique was used for phase identification and studying thermal ageing-, external stress-, electropulsing- and ultra-precision machining - induced phase transformations of alloys. By using previously XRD - and TEM - determined lattice parameters, two hcp phases which had a small difference in lattice parameters (co/ao) of about 1% were distinguished, and circular phase transformations were quantitatively examined. Dr Zhu Yao Hua graduated North-Eastern Univ. of China in 1965. He completed his PhD in 1983, and was conferred Doctor of Science, 2006, at Aston Univ., UK. He has over 113 publications. His recent research interests focus at electropulsing induced phase transformations and their effects on conductivity of thin films of semiconductors.
