The main objective was to analyse the evolution of Brazilian Environmental Education in the period between the two major Conferences, based on the systematization of information from official documents, media reports on the two events and interviews with environmental leaders, politicians and technicians who attended the events and who work prominently in the field of Environmental Education in Brazil.

She has worked in the fields of environmental education, public policy, water and waste management, climate change and sustainable consumption. She has been involved in environmental struggles since the 80s. She lives in Itu-SP.
