Mokhtar Awang is a professional engineer and an associate professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak, Malaysia. He is also a chartered engineer with Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (IMarEST). He obtained his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Detroit Mercy, MI, USA, and both master and doctorate degrees from West Virginia University, WV, USA. Mokhtar Awang had six years of experience in industry and over 18 years of academic experience in the field of finite element modeling and friction stir welding. Lloyd Ling is the head of the Civil Engineering Department at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Malaysia and an associate fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET). He received his tertiary education in civil engineering and engineering management in USA. He also obtained MBA degree in finance and international business and prolonged his post MBA study at Stanford University. He served as the president of the industrial advisory board and as an adjunct faculty member for California State University, Northridge, from 2001 to 2004. He was a researcher under the California state, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and worked in the medical device manufacturing industry. Sattar S. Emamian received his doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, in 2018. He is a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). His research areas are welding engineering, manufacturing systems engineering and materials science.
