The infancy narratives of Jesus have enriched the lives of believers through the centuries. These infancy accounts serve as overtures to the writing of the evangelists and as bridges connecting the Old and New Testaments. They point back to the history of Israel and forward to the ministry of Jesus, culminating in his cross and resurrection. Advent of the Savior is ideal for adult education and Bible study groups, as well as for personal study and reflection on these Advent and Christmas texts.
