Autorenporträt
Robin's childhood was spent in Tupelo, Mississippi. Her Father, Col. Carlyle. S. Harris was a POW in Vietnam for almost 8 years. Robin had the privilege of writing the epilogue for the book, "Tap Code", which tells Harris' amazing story. When Col. Harris returned home, the family moved to Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. Robin graduated from St. James Academy and received her Bachelor's degree from Auburn University. While at Auburn, she met her husband of 41 years. After a return to Tupelo, Mississippi, Robin's design company, Details, Inc., was born. For over 32 years, she has continued to enjoy every stage of the design process. Her creativity continues to flourish within homes and through composition. She discovered early in her career that the "Before and Afters" the "Transformations", whether on a design job or in the lives of those she led in youth or in Bible Study gave her great joy! She discovered her "calling"! She believes one of the greatest gifts we can give someone else, is the gift of listening, of being heard.Tracy Applewhite Broome grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She remembers being in elementary school and the thrill of taking private art lessons with her fourth grade teacher. She painted a bucket of apples against a fence post using pen and ink and watercolor. Her teacher framed it for her and she gave it to her grandmother who was an English teacher and musician. The joy of creating art and seeing it bring joy to others was something that became an integral part of her spirit. Eventually, she became especially inspired by words and images together. This interest led her into the field of graphic design and illustrating. Tracy studied fine art at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and Graphic Design at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta. After working with some of the best professional mentors in Jackson she opened her own art and graphic design business, Applewhite Design Group and eventually moved back to the Gulf Coast. Always being drawn to faith-based clients, as well as advocates for children, she tucked away dreams of writing and illustrating Children's books. She is now living her dream as she has collaborated with several amazing inspirational writers including Sara Berry, Ginger Sanders, Jerry Mannery and Robin Waldrip! Not only that, she loves teaching art to children and sharing the joy her teacher once shared with her. She is thankful for her loving family and friends who have guided, encouraged and made it possible for her to enjoy a lifetime of creating!
