Autorenporträt
Charles F. Wilson Jr. is a pilot in the United States Air Force and the author of his debut children's book, Adventures of Huey the Helicopter: Firefighting with Friends. He was born in upstate New York and graduated high school as valedictorian from the rural town of Stockbridge. In 2015, Charlie graduated from Clarkson University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and was the top graduate from the school's Reserve Officer Training Corp program. He spent two follow-on years in undergraduate pilot training before receiving his wings in 2017. Over the next five years, Charlie accumulated over 1,400 hours in the mighty UH-1N "Huey" helicopter, providing training and civil support to the Pacific Northwest. Motivated by his flying experience and the overwhelming support of his family, Charlie began his part-time writing career in the summer of 2021. Today, while still serving as an instructor pilot, Charlie hopes to turn the Adventures of Huey the Helicopter into a popular mini-series to motivate the next generation of aviators and community leaders.
