In this book "Grandma gets Kidnapped" it helps children understand the importance of staying close to their caregivers while on an outing. The children will visualize themselves as possibly being separated from their guardian or those which were part of their group. The book brings an important sense of awareness to the audience ( children) of their responsibilities to always stick to the plans that were initially made for the day. Therefore the children will develop a greater discipline to stay focused on what is important rather than being distracted by temptations. Throughout the story the children will be introduced to a variety of frequently used vocabulary words. They then will be given the opportunity to learn the definitions of each new, or unfamiliar word in the glossary at the end of the story. This special feature was included to enhance their future reading skills.

Autorenporträt

Jacqueline James is a retired GP now living in Menton on the French Riviera. Born in Solihull she went to Sheffield University Medical School, qualifying in 1980 and, after a stint in hospitals, became a GP and family planning doctor in 1986, first in inner city Sheffield and then in rural Cambridgeshire. She retired in 2016 after thirty-six years in medicine and in 2021 her first novel, Rude Awakening was published. Let's Escape followed a year later and this book completes the Barwell Trilogy.
