The cornerstone of Aerobic Yoga, The Cosmic Fountain of Youth Workout, consists of three, nonstop exercise cycles; The Salutation to the Sun/Surya Namaskar, Salutation to the Moon/Chandra Namaskar, and Salutation to the Earth/Prithvi Namaskar. The Salutation to the Sun is a universally known, ancient exercise. It has been practiced at sunrise for centuries to release spinal stiffness accumulated during sleep. What makes Aerobic Yoga unique and "revolutionary" is that by creating and adding two new cycles to the Salutation to the Sun, the three cycles together are elevated to a complete exercise system. The different processes represent three different degrees of difficulties of execution. The essence of this endless cycle is, by not resting between yoga poses, as Hatha Yoga does, a high level of aerobic fitness is achieved, hence the title, Aerobic Yoga. Because the workout acknowledges the Sun, Moon and Earth rituals, it promotes health, vigor and longevity, combats stress, and anxiety, therefore the subtitle, The Cosmic Fountain of Youth Workout. The book is divided into four major parts. The introduction elaborates on topics of how The Cosmic Fountain of Youth developed, and why it is the yoga exercise for today's world. Who will benefit from this book? An essential part of the introduction is the detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use the book. Reasons and realities, the second part, expands on and instructs the principles and executions of breathing, relaxation, concentration, balance, stretching, the execution of the technique, as well as the frequency, length, time of practice, eating, drinking before the workout, and how to treat injuries. The third part informs the practical questions and answers like; "What should I wear? What is the ideal surface for the workout? Where should I set the thermostat? What if I pull a muscle? What does it mean if I have a headache or feel dizzy during or after practice? What if I experience muscle twitches, spasms, or cramps? Can I do the workout in a sauna?" The actual Aerobic Yoga workout program is presented in the fourth part. Before you practice the cycles, you will learn the poses individually. After you memorize the poses and processes, you can become your own instructor. You will decide the intensity and duration of your workout. For a basic program, you will perform each cycle twice before going on to the next one. For a robust aerobic activity, repeat each process three or four times. The book presents the workout cycles in three colors for easy use.
